The following table describes the system requirements for each supported version of PSQL products. Requirements are divided into two categories: Environment (operating system) and Hardware (CPU, Memory, Disk, etc). Only products that are supported by Pervasive Software are listed.

* PSQL v9 (x86) can be installed on a 64-bit Operating system, however no additional memory functionality is available beyond the 32-bit limit. Users are encouraged to use Pervasive PSQL v10 (x64) to take advantages on native 64-bit support.

Pervasive PSQL v10 with Xtreme I/O

X/O Requirements

The following chart outlines the requirements needed to install and configure the Xtreme I/O (XIO) driver in Pervasive PSQL v10. If your system meets the minumum system requirements listed below the Xtreme I/O system driver is installed by default. The following must be met for XIO to be installed:

A 32-bit Version of One of the Following Operating System

Windows Vista Business, Ultimate and Enterprise

Windows 2003 Server

Windows 2000 Server

Memory Requirements

Minimum 2 gigabytes (GB) of RAM

XIO checks the memory requirment at runtime. If memory is below the 2GB minimum, XIO will not install

Other Requirements

NTFS file partition for the database files that will be accessed

FAT32 is not supported
